Subscribers - CAN

Overview

The CAN Subscribers tab under the Captive Portal screen provides a comprehensive visualization of analytics related to Captive Access Network (CAN) subscribers - user level. This guide explains the features and functionalities available on the Subscribers page of the dashboard.

Headers

The headers provide a quick summary of overall network activity based on the users:

• Sites Online: Number of currently online sites.

  • Total Sites: Total number of registered sites.

• Subscribers: Currently active subscribers.

  • Typical Subscribers: Historical subscriber average.

  • New Subscribers: Count of newly registered subscribers.

• Sessions: Number of active sessions.

  • Typical Sessions: Historical average session count.

  • Failed Sessions: Not available.

• Total Usage: 636.594 GB

  • Typical Usage: 104425.394 GB

  • Usage 24 Hours Ago: 14852.305 GB

Usage

The Usage bar chart shows the amount of data consumed by the different subscribers under the selected organization. Hovering the cursor on any item on the bar chart highlights the subscriber and shows the amount data consumed by that subscriber in GB.

a. Subscriber-wise Data Usage (Bar Chart)

• Displays top subscribers by data consumption.

• Helpful in identifying heavy users.

b. Usage Over Time (Line Graph)

• This section shows a line chart that displays the amount of data consumed by all the subscribers at different time instances. The horizontal axis contains the time instances, and the vertical axis contains the amount of data in GB. The graph between these two axes gives the user a clear understanding of how the data has been consumed over the given time period.

• Hovering the cursor on any item on the chart highlights that time instance and shows the amount data consumed by the subscribers in GB.

• Shows total data usage trend across all subscribers over the selected time range.

• Assists in identifying peak usage hours.

• Click Bar chart icon to view the chart in bar format.

• Click Line chart icon to view the chart in line format.

Subscriber Details Table

This table gives a detailed view of individual subscribers. The Table shows the following information:

• Subscriber – Username of the Subscriber.

• Site – Name of the site

• Plan Name - Assigned data plan

• Plan Start - Start date of the plan

• Plan End - Expiry date of the plan

• Plan Quota (GB) - Allocated Plan quota

• Plan Usage (GB) - Amount of quota used

• Period Top Ups - Number of top-ups in selected period

• Period Top Up Size - Total top-up data size

• Period Sessions - Number of sessions initiated during the selected period

• Period Usage (GB) - Data used during the selected period

• Search - Use the search bar to find specific subscribers

• Pagination - Click the dropdown given below the Subscriber Details heading to change the number of subscribers displayed in one page. The pagination helps the user navigate to the next page by using the < > buttons or click the dropdown menu to move to the intended page.

  Click Download to download the table data in CSV format.

• Filter Button: Apply filters to customize data displayed

• Plan vs. Overage Usage:

  • Usage values reflect data consumption based on the selected type: Plan or Overage.

    • Plan Usage: Data consumed under the allowed quota and top-ups.

    • Overage Usage: Data used beyond the assigned limits.
