To create a new Bare Metal Server, click Products, Compute, then Deply New Server under Deploy at the top right corner of the user interface.
Under Choose Type, select Bare Metal, and then choose your preferred location.
Choose a Location that is close to your end users. This will help reduce the latency between their remote locations and the Kognitve Hub.
Under Choose Image, select Ubuntu 22.04 LTS as the image to install on the bare metal server.
Under Choose Plan, select the plan that best suits the number of Kognitive Hubs you would like to deploy. Some plans may not be available in the location you chose in the previous step.
Plan Name | Supported Number of Hubs |
---|---|
E3-1270 | 1 |
E-2286G | 1 |
E-2288G | 7 |
E-2388G | 7 |
EPC-7443P | 15 |
EPYC-9254 | 23 |
Under Server Settings, select an SSH Key. If this is your first time, you must create an SSH Key by clicking the plus icon next to the dropdown box.
Give the server a Hostname and Server Label. Then click Deploy Now to deploy the server.
The server will take several minutes to deploy. Once the server installation is complete, you will receive an email with the server details.
Connect to the server using the IP address you received via email and use the SSH Key you chose during the installation step. The default username is root.
