Feature / Enhancements

  • Konnect Hub Server - This implements Gen2 PEP server solution. This feature enables the capability where the EdgeOS can be configured/licensed to act as Konnect Hub for internet offload, Enterprise connectivity, mesh network between Edge systems and many other scenarios. With the Konnect Hub Server functionality, the server can be hosted in any private cloud as well. Complete Documentation is available at Konnect Hub.

  • Konnect Hub Server is a licensed feature and supports Hub Enterprise and Hub Standard. If the use case for Konnect Hub is primarily Internet offload, then Hub Standard is the ideal configuration. If the complete enterprise level features are needed at the Hub, with the edge being simplified with configuration, then Hub Enterprise is the recommendation configuration.

  • SDWAN updates - With this release, when advance bonding is enabled, the MPK/PEP tunnel is established only on bonded links only.

  • VOIP Server - Apart from the capabilities from 7.0 release on VOIP (K4 Edge Release 7.0.0), VOIP logging is available.

  • CAN updates -

    • CAN UI updates to inform customer post login to bookmark the CAN URL page

    • Cleanup of session after logout or session expiry

    • Edge User Status and SPORT Activity report - displays the CAN user name

  • Our DPI package is updated to identify more protocols/ applications

  • Interface configuration of NoNat/Port Forwarding is possible without disabling the interface

  • Restriction of Access Networks being only private networks is removed.

  • Konnect and other critical services are using a unique domain/port - This will prevent any leakage while using the L-Band/High Cost link.

  • Real time license check implemented and the license expiration is managed by our Business system based on the term/tenure of payment of service.

Bug Fixes

  • webcli connection timeout - corrected.

  • Edge UI Internet Dash going blank in few scenarios and API timeout handling to improve the UX.

  • Access network having different subnet prefixes causing Internet blockage - corrected.

  • LAN monitoring - with more than 8 devices monitoring shoud work.

  • CAN with redirection enabled - will block all traffic till the user is successfully authentication (leaky traffic is prevented).
