How To: Enable Data Privacy

Data Privacy feature allows the admin to hide end user confidential data from the Read-Only administrators of the Edge system. The admin can configure which parameters to hide from the users. For launch this only includes the DPI App data. This feature ensures that sensitive or confidential information is only accessible to authorized personnel, reducing the risk of data breaches or misuse. This feature ensures that users only have access to the information necessary for their responsibilities.

Follow the below steps to enable Data Privacy:

• Login to the Kognitive Cloud from a admin account using valid credentials.

• In the Organization field, select the Organization or sub-organization from the dropdown menu. The logged in admin Organization is populated by default here. This is the organization corresponding to the email ID used to login.

• The dropdown list consists of all the sub-organizations under logged in admin organization.

• Select Account Management option from the left menu bar.

• The Account Management screen opens as shown in the below figure.

• Select the Organization Settings tab.

• The admin can verify the status of Data Privacy - whether it is enabled or disabled - under the Data Privacy section.

• The admin can also view which parameters are hidden by the Data Privacy feature. In the example above, Top Apps information is configured to be hidden.

• Click the Edit button.

• Click the toggle button in the Privacy field to enable data privacy feature.

• Click the toggle button in the Top Apps field to hide the Top Apps information.

• All instances of Top Apps information in the Edge Portal and Kognitive Mobile Application will now be hidden from the Read-Only administrative accounts. However, this data will remain accessible to the Admin-access administrative accounts.

Please note that the Data Privacy feature does not apply to the Kognitive Cloud application as of now. Any data hidden using this feature will still be accessible through the Kognitive Cloud application.

• Click the Update button to save the changes.

• The Data Privacy feature is now enabled.
